Prelude Orchestra
Introducing GCTYO’s newest ensemble, Prelude Orchestra!
Prelude is for beginner string players who love to play their instrument and want to play in a group.
Prelude meets most Saturdays during the school year from 10:45 AM-12:15 PM at GCTYO’s rehearsal space in Fairfield.
As full members of GCTYO, Prelude musicians will perform 3 times per year at the historic Klein Auditorium.
Evaluations for Prelude musicians will take place at the same time as June or August auditions in Fairfield. Students should have some basic note reading skills and be able to play basic scales. Click on your instrument below to help you prepare for an evaluation.
Financial assistance is available for families that qualify.
