The Access & Enrichment Funds are where opportunity and dedication meet at GCTYO, turning financial obstacles into stepping stones for young musicians. These funds transform what might have been out-of-reach experiences, like intensive instruction or unforgettable performances in new places, into real possibilities for students who are ready to work hard and grow. By backing these funds, donors help ensure that a child’s potential, not a family’s budget, shapes how far their musical journey can go.
Martha Hisey Private Lessons Fund
The Martha Hisey Private Lessons Fund is a dedicated scholarship fund that provides individual music instruction for GCTYO students who cannot otherwise afford private lessons, ensuring that financial barriers do not limit their musical growth and progress. By supporting this fund, donors help young musicians access 1:1 guidance that accelerates their development and allows them to advance more fully through GCTYO’s programs. Giving private lessons to underserved students levels the playing field. Students in this program progress through GCTYO’s developmental levels at a pace equal to their peers.
International Travel Fund
The GCTYO International Trip Fund ensures that young musicians can participate in international tours, making transformative global music experiences accessible and affordable. GCTYO has traveled to Germany, Austria, China, Italy, Scotland, Iceland, Spain, and Portugal, with tours to Spain in 2025 and Australia in 2026, including a special performance at the Sydney Opera House.
Your support allows more students to perform on world-class stages, experience new cultures, and build confidence, independence, and lifelong memories that deepen their commitment to music.

Vision & Opportunity Fund
The Vision & Opportunity Fund supports our general operation efforts, which is the foundation that sustains every aspect of GCTYO’s work. Gifts to this fund provide flexible resources that allow GCTYO to plan confidently, respond thoughtfully to student needs, and maintain the high artistic and educational standards families expect.
Giving from Investments
Giving from investments lets you experience the impact of your generosity alongside GCTYO’s young musicians. By directing appreciated assets such as stock, mutual funds, or IRA distributions to GCTYO, you may be able to contribute more than you could from day-to-day income, often with meaningful tax advantages.
Planned Giving
Planned giving can be a thoughtful way to extend your support for GCTYO into the future, even if you are only beginning to explore the idea. Some supporters choose to include a gift to GCTYO in their will or living trust or to name GCTYO as a beneficiary of a retirement account or life insurance policy, but these arrangements are always entirely personal and optional.
