“GCTYO is Awesome”
Don’t take our word for it: Watch this video about GCTYO and hear from students, parents, Board members, teaching artists, and Music Director Christopher Hisey about what makes GCTYO special and the best place for young musicians to find inspiration, develop musical and life skills, and become part of a unique and special community.
Events
This season GCTYO will welcome the Grammy Award winning Villalobos Brothers, whose original compositions and arrangements fuse and celebrate the richness of Mexican folk with jazz and classical music. The classically-trained Mexican trio of brothers will perform a collaborative concert with Principal Orchestra featuring a children’s choir, folk tunes, and symphonic music at GCTYO’s November 19 concert. GCTYO will also premiere some new works by the Villalobos Brothers. Mark your calendar for this can’t-miss event!
