So Many Ensembles. One Shared Love of Music.

Young people achieve amazing things at GCTYO. They develop their talents beyond what they thought possible and feel pride and joy in their accomplishments. Greater Connecticut Youth Orchestras’ holistic approach to music education means we inspire and challenge students at every stage of their music development while making sure they feel supported by their conductors and peers.

Events

Join GCTYO at The Klein on Nov. 21, 2021 for an exciting concert series featuring 13 GCTYO ensembles! So much good music, we had to split it up into 3 concerts! Come with young kids to hear Steel Pan, Brass, Woodwinds, and 2 String Orchestras in the early afternoon.  A late afternoon concert brings more Steel Pan, plus Percussion, Jazz, Saxophone, and orchestral music by GCTYO’s Virtuosi and Philharmonic Orchestras. The evening concert features GCTYO’s advanced Jazz Orchestra (including some jazz vocals), plus Principal Orchestra performing the entire Brahms’ Symphony #1, Overture to the Magic Flute, and a musical surprise!

Student Auditions

Be a part of GCTYO! Audition registration is open to new students for the 2021-2022 season! Simply fill out a registration form and we will get in touch with you.
