Are you ready to turn up the volume for GCTYO? Get your instruments and your stories ready for Play All Day on Saturday, December 6, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with musician call-time at 9:30 AM at The SoNo Collection in Norwalk! This is your chance to fill the mall with music, joy, and the incredible energy of our entire orchestra family as we all play, connect, and rally together for our bold $60,000 donation goal. 

Play All Day replaces our regular rehearsal and is a required performance for all musicians. Students will stay from start to finish, rotating through ensemble performances with breaks throughout the day. For the first time ever, every GCTYO musician will unite as one orchestra, made possible by a space big enough for all of us. The official schedule will be shared soon. Join us on November 1 for a Parents Meeting to learn more. 

Imagine every orchestra, every musician, and every GCTYO memory coming together for an unforgettable, music-filled day, supporting a cause close to our hearts by raising awareness of GCTYO’s impact and helping secure the future. 

How does it work? It’s simple and fun! Families are asked to support their orchestra’s fundraising by sharing what GCTYO means to them – whether a small story or a long family legacy. Alumni and multi-generation families, this is your time to shine! 

Once your page is ready, share your story through text, social media, and email. Every share brings more support and music for our kids. Prizes will go to the top student fundraisers and to the orchestra with the highest ratio of participants, so ensembles of all sizes have a fair chance to shine. Plus, every musician attending on December 6 will be entered in a free raffle to celebrate their effort and commitment.

• Set up your family page. Write your family story or use the GCTYO story that’s there.

• Set a fundraising goal that feels right for you. Starting at $250 can make a big difference. Reach out to family, friends, neighbors, and teachers, no matter where they are, and invite them to support GCTYO through your personal page. Each donation brings us one step closer to our $60,000 goal. Together we can make a huge impact!
